Imperial Science, Education, and Culture Ministry

The Imperial Science, Education and Culture Ministry is a large ministry responsible for the coordination of all non-military scientific and educational projects and programs within the Empire. All governmentally sponsored research is coordinated through this Ministry, as well as certification and training for all the Empire's schools, technical institutes, colleges, and universities. In addition, this ministry handles all issues dealing with the High Imperial Culture and maintaining cultural purity.

Imperial Archives and Historical Records Administration

The Imperial Archives & Records Administration would be a record keeping department of some sort. The need to keep accurate records and log all the necessary information for the Empire is very useful for clarification purposes. The person in charge would have to be VERY serious about their duties and do a real good job of it.

Imperial Ministry of Enlightenment

This is one of the most insidious and lesser known Ministries within the Empire. Its sole function is to spread the 'truth' about the Empire throughout the Galaxy, within the Empire and without. It handles and coordinates all major propagandistic activities and rallies as well as oversees all the media within the Empire.

Imperial Ministry of Justice

The Ministry of Justice handles all the judicial aspects of the Empire. All captured enemies are processed through the ministry and either held over for public trial or sent directly to a penal colony.

Imperial Finance Ministry

The Finance Ministry is the agency responsible for a variety of things within the Empire. One of the largest departments, it handles all the production efforts of the factories and manufacturing plants within the Imperium. They must coordinate the production of warships with the Department of Naval affairs and the Armaments and Munitions Ministry. Any capital or industrial goods that the Empire manufactures will in some way be handled by this ministry. The Finance Ministry also manages the distribution of funds in the Imperial treasury and keeps track of all appropriations that the Empire makes. This Ministry makes the allocations for certain projects and/or departments as needed. And, in addition, this agency is responsible for keeping the Imperial treasury in balance.

The Imperial Space Ministry is one of the largest and most inclusive departments in the Empire. This is the agency responsible for patrolling or at least attempting to control all of known Imperial space. The ISM has vast resources at its disposal and well-worked sub-departments to help in this enormous task. The ISM monitors the interstellar traffic lanes keeping a sharp eye out for rebels and pirates or anyone attempting to violate Imperial Law. The Space Ministry also keeps track of existing and newly constructed warships in the Imperial Armed Forces with the help of the BoSS agency and the Department of Naval Affairs.

In relative terms, this Ministry is new. It exists to coordinate and control all production of military grade equipment, from comlinks and blasters to AT-AT walkers to the mighty Imperial-class Star Destroyers. This Ministry sets all policies covering everything from design all the way through transportation (distribution) of military products. This Ministry coordinates very heavily with the Ministry of the Armed Forces, Departments of Army and Naval Affairs, and the Ministries of Labor, Trade and Finance. This ministry also oversees the Department of Military Research and handles / coordinates all competitive bidding on open contracts.
